About MED-Hubs

 

MED-Hubs is a European initiative connecting Spain and Italy through two innovation hubs focused on marine renewable energy and sustainable fishing/aquaculture technologies. The project helps innovators test, validate, and scale cutting-edge solutions that support a sustainable and competitive blue economy in the Western Mediterranean.

Our mission is to accelerate blue economy innovation by providing testbeds, cross-border collaboration, and market-oriented support that turns promising ideas into trusted solutions for ports, fisheries, SMEs, and policymakers.

Blue Economy Hacks 

 

The MED-Hubs Blue Economy Hacks are highly interactive co-creation workshops that bring together key actors from the blue-economy ecosystem to identify real challenges, shape the design of our testbeds, and generate the first wave of innovation ideas for pilot deployment.

Scaling Blue Economy Innovation 

 

MED-Hubs is launching an Open Call for Startups to join its international Acceleration Program, supporting high-potential blue economy ventures in sustainable fisheries, green maritime transport, and aquaculture. Selected startups will receive tailored mentoring, business and investment support, and opportunities to pilot their solutions between Spain and Italy, connect with investors, and scale internationally.
