Blue Economy Hacks are collaborative workshops held in Spain and Italy to gather insights from ports, fisheries, innovators, researchers, policymakers, and coastal communities. Their purpose is to identify bottlenecks, highlight regional priorities, and co-create early solution concepts that can be developed, tested, and scaled through the MED-Hubs program.
The Hacks are designed for stakeholders across the quadruple helix, including:
SMEs & startups developing blue economy technologies
Ports, fisheries & procurers seeking practical solutions and innovation partnerships
Universities & research centres contributing scientific knowledge and applied research
Public authorities & policymakers shaping regional blue-economy strategies
Coastal communities & NGOs directly affected by maritime sustainability challenges
Anyone who wants to influence the future of marine energy, digital fisheries, sustainable practices, and port innovation is invited to participate.
